Beyond Beginner
If you still think of yourself as a yoga "beginner" and are curious about the next step in your yoga practice, this is your workshop! Beyond Beginners is for students who have taken a few (or many!) classes and feel the desire to grow their yoga practice beyond their current knowledge, but are a little unsure of the next step. We will try to answer your questions about poses, terms, styles, or other elements of yoga that have come up in your time on the mat, as well as giving you the tools to continue on to your next yoga adventure! This class will be a mixture of asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and lecture.

Dharma Mittra Maha Sadhana
The divine and eternal practices of yogi Sri Dharma Mittra are the basis for this workshop, which translated means "The Great Practice," and includes asana, pranayama, and meditation. The asana includes unusual variations and sequencing of popular poses as well as a few that you may not have seen before. The poses are repeated to allow the student to go deeper and explore differing variations. The pranayama techniques appear simple, but are very powerfully used to clear the practitioner's psychic channels in order to prepare the mind and body for meditation. Sri Dharma has walked the walk of yoga for over 50 years and has blessed humanity with the gift of knowledge that his dedicated practice has brought. Dharma Yoga practice is adaptable to many levels of student and provides opportunity for physical challenge as well as spiritual opening. Nicole is a direct student of Sri Dharma and a graduate of Dharma's 500 hour Life of a Yogi training program and strives to "copy the teacher" in transmitting yogic teachings to others as they have been shared with her.

Doga
An extra special class for you and your best friend! Gentle yoga poses, suitable for all levels, are incorporated with canine massage techniques to bring physical and mental benefits to you and your pooch. Busy lives often make one-on-one time with our pups rare, so give your dog the gift of your undivided attention, patience, and affection and see what you receive in return!

Intro to Yoga Series or Class
New to yoga, or want to get reacquainted? Take our 4 week series covering the basics of yoga including proper alignment of basic poses, modifications for injuries, and proper breathing techniques.

Inversion Exploration
Gain tips, tricks, and alternate approaches for some of the most commonly seen inverted yoga poses and then test them out on your own mat. The information presented in this workshop gives you new tools and methods for these sometimes intimidating yoga poses with variations that anyone can practice. This workshop is suitable for students who have some knowledge of yoga and are not afraid of trying something new!

Mala-Making
A mala is a strand of 108 beads that can be used for the practice of japa yoga. In this workshop, enjoy learning about japa meditation and create your own rudraksha bead mala. Each participant will be given the materials and instruction needed to create a mala, as well as information about the history and practice of this form of yogic meditation. A great way to celebrate this year's Global Mala weekend!

Partner Yoga
Spend some time enjoying a little playfulness and human connection at our partner yoga class designed for all-levels. Familiar yoga poses (and maybe a few that are new to you!), massage, and meditation will be adapted to be practiced as a pair. Bring a friend, family member, or anyone you'd like - regardless of whether they've practiced yoga before. This class will be structured so that participants of all levels will feel comfortable.

Yoga and Veganism
Learn about how yogic wisdom can inspire us to a deeper connection with our fellow earthlings and a desire to make the world a better place for all who inhabit it. This is a thought-provoking talk about the teachings of yoga and how they are linked with the ethics of an animal-free diet. Nicole has been living a vegan lifestyle for over 15 years and views that transition as her first yogic practice.

Yoga Beyond Asana
Have you ever wondered how to apply your knowledge of yoga to your everyday life? You've experienced the benefits of yoga asana (physical practice) now see how it is possible to take these practices off the mat.
This workshop will be a basic introduction to all of the "other stuff" that yoga has to offer us. Join a group of other curious students as we learn about the 8 Limbs of yoga, the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, the gunas, mantra, pranayama, and more. Even if you don't know what any of those words mean, that's okay! This workshop is geared towards beginning and ongoing students of yoga looking for an introduction to Yogic Philosophy and how these ancient yogic teachings can benefit our modern lives.
Bring an open mind and if you'd like, something to take notes and a cushion to sit on. This workshop will be comprised primarily of open discussion with q&a sessions and a short break.
